Dr. Robert Balcar was born in Chicago, Illinois and lived there until the age of 12, when he moved with his Mom & Dad to Toledo, Ohio. He attended St. John’s Jesuit High School, graduating in 1981. He then attended John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio, graduating in 1985. Dr. Balcar attended Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, were he received his Dental Degree in 1989. He proceeded to return to Toledo, Ohio, where he opened his own dental practice. Dr. Balcar had his practice for 21 years and then sold it and came to Scottsdale, seeking a new challenge to his career, now being an associate dentist with Dr. Kopsky.
Dr. Balcar has a vast list of accolades in dentistry with cosmetic procedures and implant restoration. With 22 years of dental experience to draw upon, he makes quite a compliment to Dr. Kopsky’s, Dr. G’s and Dr. Roth’s experience.
Dr. Balcar is an avid golfer, winning the Toledo Amateur and an array of state and local tournaments. His son, Michael (19 years old), is quite a prodigy in his own right, obtaining a golf scholarship at Cleveland Universiy, and will soon join the Arizona State University golf team in 2013. Michael has aspirations to be on the PGA tour and is studying to obtain a business degree.
Dr. Balcar is an avid sports fan, an accomplished singer and likes yoga, exercising and meditation to stay fit and healthy.
